Local Attractions
Hill Walking, Bird Watching and Horse Trekking
Surrounded by Hills, Glens and Mountains, Edzell is an ideal
location for Hill Walking. The scenic walk to Loch Lee up Glen
Esk is a must.
Glen Esk is in the eastern Grampian Mountains or Benchinnan mountains.
Mount Keen rising over 3000ft to the North is a Munro. While
there you could visit the Queens Well. Wherever you go in the
surrounding Glens you are guaranteed beautiful scenery.
Whisky
The local distillery is just up the road in Fettercairn. One
of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Free tours are
available between May and September. Sample the Local "dram"
at one of the bars in the village.
Golf
Angus has an abundance of Courses. Edzell, Kirriemuir, Brechin,
Montrose, Forfar and Alyth Courses all on the doorstep. Slightly
further a field (under an hours drive) the world renowned courses
of Carnoustie and St.Andrews as well as Ballater, Banchory and
Scotscraig to name but a few.
Hunting, Shooting and Fishing
The surrounding Hills and Glens are perfect for Hunting, Shooting
and Fishing. This can be arranged with neighbouring estates.
